Bill served his country with honor, stationed in Hawaii, Vietnam, Utah, and Turkey. Years later he earned a national award for his work with Disabled American Veterans. His educational pursuits took him to Suffolk University, Boston; University of Hawaii; Framingham State College; and ultimately, he earned a degree in Business Management from Newbury College in Brookline, MA..
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan, and their six children: David Berger of Franklin, MA; Ina Moriggi (Steve); Mary Berry Wolfe (John); Donna Lofthouse (Dan) of Bradenton, FL; Susan Berger of Summerfield, FL; John Franke (Stephanie) of Arlington, VA; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
