Pablo Maximino Barrientos, 82, South Florida. After his dying father pled for Pablo Maximino Barrientos to flee Cuba, the man left with his wife and 3-year-old daughter in the early 1970s. When he arrived in the United States, he became emotional, his wife said, saying that along with the Cuban flag, he’d embrace the American flag of liberty.
