Kevin Ray Dewey, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away on August 19, 2021 at the age of 59. He was born on June 13, 1962 in Lake Charles, LA. Kevin attended DeQuincy High School and finished at Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, LA. He earned a bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University in 1984 and went to work with Honeywell International upon graduation where he was employed for 37 years. His hobbies included planning adventures and traveling with his family, watching Napoli “Futbol” and fishing. He attended Cornerstone Community Bible Church in Rosenberg, TX. Kevin always had a smile on his face and was described as the nicest, smartest classmate in high school. He had a generous giving heart, an amazing sense of humor and quick wit. We will forever love and miss him until we see him again in Heaven.

He is preceded in death by his father, Julius (Buddy) Dewey.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth “Liz”; son Alex; mother, Gyrthel Dewey Whiddon; sisters, Janice Dewey Guidry and Sharon Vincent (husband Shane); brother-in-law, Jeffrey McClellan (wife Missy); sister-in-law, Susan Gamble (husband Michael); nieces & nephews, Meagan Laviolette, Cody Schulze, William, Christopher & Katie McClellan; along with a host of extended family and friends.
