Judith Ellaby Koester of Newton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 21, 2023, at age 80 from complications due to Alzheimer's and COVID. Judy was born on April 21, 1943, in Gary, Indiana, the youngest of four children to Freda and John (Jack) Ellaby. She was a long-time resident of Michigan City, Indiana, where she graduated with honors from Isaac C. Elston High School in 1961. She married her high-school sweetheart, J.
