Reverend Juan Angel Martinez, 74, of rural Mt. Vernon, MO, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Tuesday evening, July 4, 2023 following a lengthy battle from Covid that resulted in Pulmonary Fibrosis. Juan was born on May 11, 1949 in Mexicali, Mexico, son of the late Maximilliano Martinez and Gloria (Luna) Martinez. During his childhood, Juan enjoyed track and field events, especially cross country running and the 50 yard dash.
