Jerry Anne Beard Wehman succumbed to COVID on August 19, 2021 in Clermont, Florida. She was born on July 9, 1933 in Jacksonville, Texas to Mary Elizabeth Moore Beard and James Milton Beard. As a child, she also lived in Lufkin, Jasper, and Houston before moving to San Antonio when she was 12. She attended Alamo Heights High School, Southwestern University, and Trinity University. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and remained active in it until she left Texas. Jerry married the boy across the street, Louis George Wehman, on November 21, 1953. Jerry and L.G. celebrated over 67 happy years together. A year after their wedding, their first child, Deborah Anne, was born while L.G. was in seminary in Ohio. When he graduated three years later, he received a call to Houston, Texas. The family was happy to return to Texas and would remain there until moving to Florida in 2016. From Houston the family moved to Ganado and welcomed their son Marcus Blair into the family.
