Daniel W. Emick, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, with his family by his side, due to complications of COVID-19. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Jones. His marriage to "Shirl" lasted for 35 years until her death in 1991. Daniel was the only child of Willard and Magdalen Kneller Emick.
